All Day Camps are Monday-Friday, 9am-4pm

Extended Care 7:45am – 5:15pm $50/week

Week-long camps for developing leadership for ages 13-17. The program is designed to equip those who want to be leaders in their communities with tools, ideas, and skills to impact the world around them. Each program is developed in progression and as a multi-year experience with a final goal that teen leaders will apply to be staff members when they are of age.  Participation in the program does not guarantee a position on staff.

Leadership programs are offered at multiple camp locations throughout the summer, Camp Warner Park, Nashville Sail Camp and Camp Bells Bend Beaman. Each camp has unique activities and leadership opportunities, but share the common structure for leadership development.

Leaders in Training

Teens ages 13-15

The Leaders in Training program is a week-long camp experience designed to equip those who want to lead in their communities with tools, ideas, and skills to grow and impact the world around them. These high school students will spend the first few days learning how to lead activities, shadowing a counselor, and gaining outdoor adventure skills. The latter half of the week is dedicated to stepping up and leading activities for the group you’ve been paired with, meeting local community leaders, and implementing an all-camp game you helped plan. This journey will also be full of senior camp programming with a group of fellow Leaders in Training, with whom you will make memories, share experiences, and grow as leaders.

Price: $215/week

Counselors in Training

Teens ages 15-17

After completing the Leaders-In-Training program or at age 16, teen leaders can sign up as a Counselor-In-Training (CIT). This can be done in one season or over multiple seasons.

The Counselor in Training program is a week of advanced leadership development designed to strengthen the passions and abilities of those who find themselves wanting to make a difference. These leaders will be paired with a counselor for the week and given numerous opportunities to lead through activities, lessons, and role modeling for the younger campers. You will spend the week bonding with and leading the campers of the tribe you are chosen to work with, and with the learning from the counselor you are assigned to. The counselor will watch over and help guide you, teaching you to make the most out of every moment you have with your campers. By the end of the week, you will walk away with a deeper understanding of leadership, and a truly applicable skill set to make a difference.

Price: $100/week

Oscar Ramirez

Camp Director Teen Leadership Adventure @ Warner Park

From an early age, Mr. O was exposed to nature and an adventurous daily life, not by choice but, due to circumstances. Growing up in a family who pioneered in the undeveloped, jungle coast of the Atlantic Ocean, was not an easy task for his parents, but for him it was heaven on earth! Walking shoeless, playing in the creek, swimming in the ocean, building fires, climbing coconut trees, exploring and conquering new areas and chasing Olingos and bullfrogs were part of his daily life.

The freedom, confidence, self-reliance and curiosity to explore new frontiers, motivated him to venture to others countries nearby and abroad. He believes that nature, adventures and mentoring, are key components to helping youth during their development. This philosophy has motivated him to participate, organize and lead adventure trips such as hiking Mouth Washington, The North Cascade, Mount Baker, Arcadia National Park in Maine, Kayaking Cape Cop Sound MA, as well as camping and biking in areas not know by tourists.

Planning adventures and teaching outdoor skills as a way to expose youth to nature, is a part of his daily life. So, next time you say hello to him, don’t be surprised if his asks you what your next adventure is! He has definitely already planned one!
